Hundreds of youths gathered in Cebu City for the Negosyo sa Kabataan Entrepreneurship Development Training organized by the Development Center for Future Leaders, Inc. in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry – Philippine Trade Training Center and the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship – Go Negosyo. 

The goal of Negosyo sa Kabataan training is to shape barangay entrepreneurial landscapes and broaden community entrepreneurial base through youth empowerment and capacity-building. Thereby, creating a nation of entrepreneurs which are vital in stimulating economic growth and development. 

Different esteemed speakers imparted their knowledge and experience of entrepreneurship during the training. Also, provided a seamless understanding of the significance of entrepreneurship in agriculture, tourism and digitalization to make them more inclusive. 

Aiko Reyes, Co-Founder and COO of Peddlr, had the opportunity to share her entrepreneurial journey with the youth, particularly Sangguniang Kabataan officials from all over the Philippines, in the said event. She also shared her story of building one of the fastest-growing startups in the Philippines today – Peddlr. She highlighted how Peddlr App is making a difference among the lives of MSMEs all over the country.

Truly, this initiative is a good opportunity to stimulate interests among the youths to engage in entrepreneurship. And to take part in finding solutions to help the community thrive post-pandemic through entrepreneurship.
